Job Responsibilities
  • The candidate will be responsible for tracking, assessing, and reporting any RF spectrum regulatory actions related to Federal agencies (NOAA, DoD, DoC, NASA).
  • Provide subject matter expertise to DOC/NOAA across various RF spectrum related topics and working groups.
  • Participate and establish technical rules and procedures for spectrum sharing and spectrum coordination with federal agencies and international administrations.
  • Assist regulatory and policy team in evaluating and conducting analysis on new rulemaking procedures and submissions.
  • Conduct Matlab analysis pertaining to ITU WRC agenda items.
  • Establish technical parameters and standards governing the use of each frequency band or specific service, if applicable.

Job Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex engineering analysis.
  • Ability to use RF engineering tools (e.g., Visualyse) and MATLAB.
  • Possess excellent written and communication skills in English.
  • Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in satellite and cellular telecommunications industry.
  • 1+ years of experience in RF spectrum management engineering.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) and a minimum of 1-2 years of direct engineering experience.
