Job summary

NFI is seeking a Material Handler in South Bend, Indiana to move materials and finished goods within the facility and onto trucks. You will support warehouse operations, ensure safety, and help maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Responsibilities include loading, packing, labeling, and verifying shipments, as well as assisting with inventories and using RF scanners. High attention to detail and a GED are preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs material handling manually or with a hand truck within the facility
• Loads finished product onto pallets or hand trucks as required
• Stacks pallets in assigned storage or staging areas
• Picks and packs customer orders for shipment
• Applies labels to shipments according to requirements
• Processes orders including picking, checking, sorting, consolidating freight, wrapping pallets, packing, loading, and completing shipment confirmations
• Verifies freight accuracy and checks for damage or infestation
• Assists with physical inventories and cycle counts as needed
• Uses RF scanning devices to support accurate inventory management
• Provides cleaning and sanitation services as needed, including sweeping floors and cleaning office areas
• Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area following housekeeping and safety standards
• Performs other duties as required by management
