Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Colorado Springs to apply RF quantum sensing technologies to national security missions. You will develop real-time software for microcontrollers, integrate hardware interfaces, and ensure system reliability across devices, sensors, and subsystems.

The role requires independence, mentorship of junior engineers, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams. Travel up to 25% and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance are expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience in languages including Python, C, or C++.
• Experience designing, developing, and testing real-time software for microcontrollers interfacing with hardware.
• DSP algorithms and RF theory knowledge, including spectrum analyzer front/back end.
• Experience with Agile processes/tools (Jira/Confluence) and version control (GitHub).
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux; porting software between OSes and cross-compiling libraries.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded software and firmware for RF/quantum sensing hardware; integrate with devices and subsystems.
• Test, validate, and optimize software for reliability and performance in production.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight.
• Collaborate across hardware/software teams to ensure robust system integration.
