Placements24 is seeking a proactive Telecom RF Planning Engineer to design and optimize RF networks for mobile operators. The role combines on-site analysis with office planning to ensure high-quality voice and data services.

The candidate will conduct drive tests, build propagation models and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable wireless coverage. A strong RF background and experience with planning tools are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of RF planning/optimization experience for mobile networks (GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G).
• Proficiency in RF planning/optimization tools (e.g., Atoll, Planet, MapInfo).
• Strong RF propagation knowledge, antenna theory, and mobile systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design RF network for new site deployments including site selection and antenna parameter setup.
• Optimize RF coverage, capacity and quality using planning tools.
• Conduct drive tests and analyze data to identify gaps and interference.
• Perform RF propagation modeling and simulations to predict performance.
• Ensure spectrum efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with site acquisition, construction and operations teams.
• Analyze network performance and propose corrective actions.
