Job summary

MACOM in Morrisville, NC is seeking a PCB Design Engineer to collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate mixed signal and RF designs into PCBs and produce manufacturing drawings. You will complete CAD layouts, generate artwork files, and support design for manufacturing while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 3+ years in PCB design, proficiency with Altium, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

3+ years' of experience in PCB design and layout.
Proficiency with Altium Designer preferred.
3+ years' of experience in 2D drafting and producing manufacturing drawings.
Familiarity with RF Power Pallet and amplifier design techniques.
Knowledge of product data management systems; Agile preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate RF designs into PCBs.
Complete CAD layouts: floor planning, placement, schematic creation, and BOM development.
Create artwork files, fabrication drawings, and PCB documentation for design releases.
Coordinate with engineering, product design, test and manufacturing teams to support PCB integration and manufacturability.
Coordinate with PCB vendors; apply DFM and DFA guidelines.
Set up and perform design rule checks (DRCs) to verify PCB layout compliance.
