Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a RF Payload Engineer to join the Systems & Test team in Redmond. You will test, verify, and troubleshoot the Leo production constellation, bridging payload software, testing, and mission operations to ensure reliable in-orbit performance.

Responsibilities include developing runbooks, driving automation, analyzing test results, and supporting end-to-end payload operations from lab to on-orbit environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 6+ years of RF, satellite or aerospace industry experience.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functionally across multi-disciplinary groups.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise across payload RF/comm hardware, software, and constellation operations.
• Define and maintain payload operational processes, procedures, and runbooks.
• Identify automation initiatives to reduce manual operational burden, improve response times, and scale operations.
• Review test results, troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and develop corrective actions.
• Support payload system-level integration, test, and verification from lab to field.
• Collaborate across flight software, cloud software, modem, and mission operations teams to optimize RF and network operations.
