Job summary

Ericsson in Plano, TX is seeking an early-career RF Network Performance and Automation Engineer (RAN Optimization) to drive wireless network performance across 4G/5G and future technologies. You will design, develop, and implement Generative AI tools and automation workflows to streamline optimization and improve engineering efficiency.

You will lead carrier launches, support site verifications, monitor KPIs, and troubleshoot RF issues across deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 2 years of hands-on RF optimization or RAN performance experience is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of 4G/5G technologies and RF principles.
• Familiarity with automation and tools development (Python, Tableau, Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Generative AI tools and automated workflows to streamline network optimization.
• Lead the launch of new carriers, technologies, and sites for 4G, 5G, 6G, and small cells.
• Own and support carrier launches, including single-site verification and testing.
• Track KPIs and troubleshoot RF issues for new deployments.
• Monitor RF changes related to hardware swaps and software updates.
• Deliver complex projects on time with focus on customer satisfaction.
