Job summary

Decision Technologies, Inc. seeks an RF/Missile/Combat Systems Engineer for an on-site role in Arlington, VA. You will support Navy weapons engineering and acquisition programs, requiring eligibility for a DoD SECRET clearance and strong systems engineering credentials.

You will contribute to design, development, production, and in-service activities, covering combat system integration, safety, E3, modeling, and simulation, with a focus on integrating sensors and ship classes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• At least 4 years' experience as a DoD systems engineer (non-IT) performing requirements analysis, weapon systems integration analysis, or weapon systems design.
• 7 years' experience as a DoD systems engineer (non-IT) performing requirements analysis, weapon systems integration analysis, or weapon systems design.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering support for design, development, production, and in-service activities including system analysis, combat system integration, modeling and simulation, and participation in requirements development and maintenance.
• Provide technical inputs in Safety and Electromagnetic Environment Effects (E3) areas including reviewing and analyzing plans, schedules, tests, test results, and data packages.
• Assist in managing digital efforts such as DevSecOps and Agile development-related activities.
• Prepare technical documentation, senior-level briefings, and other reporting requirements.
• Participate in program and technical review meetings.
• Provide technical inputs to envisioned integration methodologies according to various ship classes, combat system capabilities, and available sensors.
• Review and comment on firing policies, interface changes, and operator workloads.
• Participate in integration studies, providing technical reviews and comments.
• Provide technical review and comments on simulation planning, proposals, and results.

We are seeking a qualified RF/Missile/Combat Systems Engineer in Arlington, VA. This position is not eligible for hybrid or remote work situations. This is a 100% on-site, in-office position.

Position Description

The selectee will perform as the Decision Technologies RF, Missile, and/or Combat Systems Engineer for a US Navy Weapons Engineering and Program Acquisition Support contract.

Required Qualifications

• Low Mid: At least 4 years' experience as a DoD systems engineer (non-IT systems) performing requirements analysis, weapon systems integration analysis, or weapon systems design
• High Mid: At least 7 years' experience as a DoD systems engineer (non-IT systems) performing requirements analysis, weapon systems integration analysis, or weapon systems design

Desired Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant technical discipline
• Direct experience with systems engineering for specific Navy terminal defense systems such as RAM and CIWS.
• An active DoD SECRET clearance
• Prior SIPR account and experience using SIPR systems
• Ability to work effectively with team members and subcontractors from various technical, acquisition, and administrative disciplines
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to develop and deliver coherent and concise customer presentations

Travel Requirements

• Limited travel requirements (<10%)
