Job summary

Roguebeam is seeking an RF/microwave engineer to own architecture and design for phased arrays and system solutions. As an early hire, you will influence the design methodology and help shape how the team grows.

You will lead RF design from architecture through design phases, collaborating with RFIC, antenna, EE and ME teams, while coordinating with mechanical/thermal and PCB layout to ensure performance and manufacturability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
  • 3–5 years of RF/mmwave design experience required.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design and simulation tools (ADS, CST, HFSS, AWR).
  • Proficiency with mmWave lab equipment and high-frequency calibration techniques.
  • Solid RF fundamentals: matching, noise, linearity, S-parameters.

Responsibilities

  • Develop top level models, link budgets and architectures for communications and radar systems.
  • Run system-level simulations covering linearity, noise, gain/phase control accuracy, and power and distortion budgets.
  • Design RF/microwave circuits, MMICs, passive/printed components, substrates, matching networks and packages.
  • Design RF modules and SIPs containing RFICs, passives and other RF components.
  • Analyze characterization data and drive design iterations of fabricated parts.
  • Collaborate with antenna, digital, and DSP teams to meet full-system requirements.
  • Coordinate with mechanical/thermal teams to manage heat dissipation and packaging constraints; ensure robust grounding and SI for high-frequency designs.
