Job summary

A leading RF hardware manufacturer in Shelton, Connecticut, is seeking an experienced RF/Microwave Design Engineer to contribute to advanced defense systems. This role involves designing RF and microwave filters and multiplexers while collaborating with technicians and customers. Candidates must have a BSEE, over 5 years of relevant experience, and be U.S. Citizens capable of obtaining a security clearance. Job description

At Microphase Corporation, we don’t build apps — we build the RF hardware that powers advanced defense and communications systems.

For decades, Microphase has designed and manufactured high-performance RF and microwave filters and multiplexers used in radar, electronic warfare, and other critical defense platforms. Our engineering heritage traces back to the earliest days of advanced RF technology, including work supporting space and defense programs dating back to the Apollo era.

As we look ahead, we are expanding our capabilities into Active RF and Digital Application Solutions supporting next‑generation defense systems, drone technologies, and advanced electronic platforms.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
  • Design RF/Microwave lumped element and distributed filters and multiplexers
  • Model and simulate RF component performance using industry tools (ADS, HFSS, CST or similar)
  • Select and specify components for high-performance RF designs
  • Develop test procedures and validation methods
  • Work closely with technicians to move designs from prototype to production
  • Collaborate with customers to develop solutions that meet demanding system requirements
  • Contribute to the development of Active RF and Digital Application Solutions for emerging defense technologies, including drone and advanced electronic systems
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • BSEE (minimum) in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years RF/Microwave design experience
  • Familiarity with MIL standards and defense programs
  • Experience with RF simulation tools (ADS, HFSS, CST, or similar)
  • Experience supporting radar, electronic warfare, or other defense RF systems
  • Ability to translate designs into manufacturable hardware
  • U.S. Citizen capable of obtaining a security clearance
