Job summary
Microwave Techniques LLC in Gorham, ME is seeking an Application Engineer to join the technical sales team. You will translate RF and microwave component requirements into technically sound proposals, quotes, and order execution.
Responsibilities include developing proposals, leading technical scoping with Sales and Engineering, pricing input, and supporting RFQs/RFPs. Travel occasionally to customer sites and trade shows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical manufacturing.
- Familiarity with cost modeling and quoting tools and ERP/software.
Responsibilities
- Develop technical proposals, quotes, and supporting costing inputs based on customer requirements and feasibility reviews.
- Lead the technical scoping of RF/microwave components with Sales Engineer and Engineering as necessary.
- Pricing and proposal development for RFQs/RFPs and customer engagements.
- Travel occasionally to support Sales Engineers at customers and attend trade shows.
- Coordinate across departments to ensure product is engineered, manufactured, tested, and shipped per order specifications.
- Develop datasheets and application notes for one-off designs.
