Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking an RF technician to join our satellite communications team. You will align, test, troubleshoot, and repair high‑power solid‑state microwave amplifiers, work with block upconverters and digital control interfaces, and ensure the highest reliability of RF systems used worldwide.

The role requires hands‑on experience with RF electronics, soldering skills, and the ability to interpret test data.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with RF or microwave electronics and test equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in electronics.
  • Soldering skills for circuit tuning and repair.
  • Ability to understand RF test measurements and concepts.
  • Solid computer skills for testing and documentation.
  • 2–5 years of directly related technical experience.
  • Associate degree in electronics or equivalent military/work experience.
  • High school diploma or vocational training in a technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Align, test, troubleshoot, and repair high-power solid-state microwave amplifiers
  • Work with block upconverters and digital control interfaces to ensure system performance
  • Perform RF testing using equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers
  • Tune RF amplifiers across multiple frequency bands including S-Band, C-Band, X-Band, and Ku-Band
  • Verify performance against key parameters such as gain, power, VSWR, harmonics, and compression
  • Interpret test data and diagnose performance issues
  • Apply soldering techniques during tuning and repair processes
  • Follow safety procedures and technical documentation accurately
  • Prepare basic reports and communicate findings with internal teams

Job Description
