Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking an RF/microwave technician to join a team focused on high-power solid-state microwave amplifiers and satellite communications technologies. You will align, test and repair RF systems, interpret test data, and communicate results to internal teams.

The role requires hands-on RF electronics experience, soldering skills, and 2–5 years in the field, plus an associate degree or equivalent. A safety-conscious, detail-driven mindset is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Align, test, troubleshoot, and repair high-power solid-state microwave amplifiers.
  • Work with block upconverters and digital control interfaces to ensure system performance.
  • Perform RF testing using spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.
  • Tune RF amplifiers across S-, C-, X-, and Ku-Band frequencies.
  • Verify performance against gain, power, VSWR, harmonics, and compression.
  • Interpret test data and diagnose performance issues.
  • Apply soldering techniques during tuning and repair processes.
  • Follow safety procedures and technical documentation accurately.
  • Prepare basic reports and communicate findings with internal teams.

What you'll do
