We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Lab Subject Matter Expert to design, set up, maintain, and operate a wireless test laboratory for 4G/5G RF equipment and network components.

The ideal candidate will perform calibration, measurements, data analysis, and troubleshooting, while developing documentation, cabling diagrams, and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in telecommunications, CS, cybersecurity, or related field.
• Minimum 9 years experience in telecommunications engineering.
• Substitutions: Associate's degree +11 yrs; Master’s +7; PhD +5.
• Strong knowledge of wireless infrastructure and RF systems.
• Hands-on with RRH, BBUs, and cell site routers.
• Experience establishing and operating lab test benches.
• Proficiency with RF test gear: spectrum analyzers, signal generators, audio testers.
• Ability to interpret cabling diagrams and technical docs.
• Experience reviewing test plans and validating procedures.
• Eligibility for public trust and US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain wireless lab environments supporting 4G LTE and 5G.
• Configure test benches for product validation and RF performance testing.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot lab equipment: RRH, BBUs, cell site routers.
• Execute test plans and analyze data to identify root causes.
• Calibrate and maintain RF lab equipment including spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
• Develop cabling diagrams, connectivity docs, and manuals.
• Review test plans, validate procedures, and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering and test teams on product development.
• Ensure lab equipment meets quality, safety, and operational standards.
