Job summary

Astranis Space Technologies is seeking an RF Hardware Intern for Winter 2027 in San Francisco. Internships last twelve weeks and are hourly roles for students enrolled at a four-year university.

As an Intern, you will design, simulate, implement, and measure RF sub-systems at microwave frequencies, including LNAs, power amplifiers, up/down converters, and filters, then integrate these systems with the spacecraft alongside the team.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a four-year university program in a technical field.
• Hands-on hardware development experience desired.
• Knowledge of RF concepts such as transmission lines, impedance matching, and filters.
• Experience designing, building, and testing RF hardware for microwave frequencies.
• Experience with RF simulation tools (ADS or HFSS).
• Experience taking RF measurements with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, implement, and measure RF sub-systems at microwave frequencies (LNAs, power amplifiers, up/down converters, filters, oscillators).
• Integrate RF subsystems into the spacecraft in collaboration with the team.
