Job summary

Synergy Wireless Solutions is seeking qualified candidates for a long-term project supporting national network deployment. The role requires expertise in GSM, UMTS, LTE, and 5G, along with a minimum of 3 years in network design and performance. Daily responsibilities include monitoring KPIs, troubleshooting network issues, and collaborating with RF engineers.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and possess strong RF engineering skills. The position currently considers only US candidates.

Job Description

Synergy Wireless Solutions is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates to join our national network deployment team in support of a long term nationwide project. The ideal candidate will have 3 years min network design, system performance and daily operation of GSM,UMTS,LTE & 5GRadio Network experience, applying RF engineering principles to design and optimize network coverage, performance and capacity.

Daily duties include but are not limited to:

• Performs advanced monitoring and review of radio network Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
• Participates in the development of inter and intra team processes for system performance
• Serves as KPI subject matter expert in order to improve network performance
• Collects, processes and reviews drive test data
• Works with the operations team to troubleshoot site network problems
• Reviews data to assist with determining cause of faulty equipment
• Works with other RF Engineers to evaluate and resolve issues
• Updates fault databases with resolution or actions taken
• Performs coverage, capacity, and performance activities
• Participates in developing internal process used for radio network design
• Participates with federal, state and local jurisdictions to ensure regulatory and zoning compliance
• Performs development, testing, and validation of RF feature plan proposals
• Provides input in defining implementation guidelines for approved new features and technologies
• Effectively applies RF principles to performance activities
• Serves as subject matter expert on GSM/UMTS/LTE/5G
• Supports engineering and technical staff

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent technical degree
• Have 3+ years experience in a similar role
• Have 3+ years GSM,UMTS,LTE & 5G optimization and performance experience
• Solid understanding of RF propagation principles, cellular theory, RF engineering tools and antenna theory
• Excellent computer skills (UNIX, Oracle Database, Excel macros and SQL programming a plus)
• Understanding of wireless network implementation and operational services
• Excellent Communication and customer relation skills
• Team Player
• Able to pass background check and drug screening
