Job summary

Mercor partners with a leading technology organization to recruit experienced RF and Electromagnetic Engineering Experts for a short-term project. You will apply hands-on industry experience to analyze and solve complex RF/EM problems involving antennas, propagation, and related systems.

You will evaluate design trade-offs, review technical approaches, and follow project guidelines to deliver rigorous solutions for real-world applications in RF engineering and electromagnetics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical/Electronics RF Engineering or Electromagnetics.
• Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory and RF propagation.
• Experience with RF/microwave systems, antennas, EMC/EMI, and related analysis.
• Proven ability to analyze specifications, simulations, and data to justify design decisions.

About the Role

Mercor is partnering with a leading technology organization to recruit experienced Radio Frequency (RF) and Electromagnetic (EM) Engineering Experts for a short-term project. Experts will apply their hands‑on industry experience to analyze and solve complex problems involving RF systems, electromagnetics, antennas, propagation, and related engineering applications.

What You'll Do

• Solve complex technical problems involving RF and electromagnetic engineering.

• Analyze RF/EM systems, components, antennas, circuits, and architectures.

• Apply electromagnetic theory, RF principles, and engineering methodologies to real‑world scenarios.

• Analyze technical specifications, system requirements, simulation results, and engineering data.

• Evaluate design trade-offs, performance limitations, calculations, assumptions, and proposed solutions.

• Review and validate technical approaches and results, providing technically rigorous solutions and explanations.

Who Should Apply

• Experienced RF, Electromagnetic, Microwave, Antenna, or related engineering professionals with hands‑on industry experience.

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, RF Engineering, Electromagnetics, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, RF engineering principles, and signal propagation.

• Practical experience in one or more of:

  • RF and microwave systems

  • Antenna design and analysis

  • Electromagnetic simulation and modeling

  • RF circuits and components

  • EMC/EMI

  • Wireless communications, radar, or sensing

  • RF propagation and channel modeling

  • RF measurement and testing

• Experience with tools such as HFSS, CST, COMSOL, MATLAB, ADS, or equivalent is a plus.

Candidates with practical experience applying RF/EM principles to real‑world engineering systems are strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in RF Engineering, Electromagnetics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience with microwave or millimeter‑wave systems, antenna arrays, phased arrays, beamforming, or MIMO.

• Experience in radar, wireless communications, satellite communications, or RF sensing.

• Experience with electromagnetic simulation, RF characterization, and laboratory testing.

• Experience translating theoretical RF/EM concepts into practical engineering solutions.

• Research experience or publications in RF, electromagnetics, antennas, or related fields is a plus.
