Job summary

Voyager Technologies, Inc. in San Diego, CA, seeks an RF Engineer to design and document RF subsystems (UC, DC, PA and LNA) from system requirements, produce RF schematics, and guide PCB layout while collaborating with the engineering team.

You will test and troubleshoot RF boards, develop test procedures, assist manufacturing, and support gate reviews and proposals. A Bachelor’s or Master’s in RF-focused EE with 6+ years of experience, Altium, and Ka-band expertise are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of RF hardware/schematic design experience from UHF to Ka-band.
• Experience designing LNAs and Power Amplifiers up to 10W at Ka/Ku-band.
• Experience with RF test equipment and lab practices.

Responsibilities

• Derive and document RF subsystem requirements from system-level specs.
• Produce RF schematics to capture the design.
• Layout and/or guide PCB layout based on schematic.
• Validate the design; troubleshoot and test RF circuit boards and assemblies.
• Develop RF test procedures and perform testing when needed.
• Support manufacturing of complex PCBAs and integration into higher assemblies.
• Provide system integration and test troubleshooting support.
• Meet aggressive/accelerated schedule deadlines.
• Participate in design reviews and trade studies.
