Position Overview

Precise Systems is seeking an RF Engineer to assist with RF and Mechanical Engineering tasks. The candidate should be a self-starter, preferably with experience working with the government. Responsibilities include conducting RF measurements and providing SME knowledge on RF system functions. Familiarity with RF test equipment, RF measurements, and RF theory/practical knowledge is required.

Preferred Skills and Duties
  1. Understanding of electrical circuits and ability to read and interpret circuit schematics.
  2. Knowledge of electrical theory including voltage, power, current, and resistance.
  3. Understanding of RF circuits and design, including RF power, attenuation, filters, diplexers, antennas, and loads.
  4. Knowledge of antenna theory and design.
  5. Experience with electrical test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, loads, and power supplies.
  6. Experience with RF test equipment like Spectrum Analyzers, Network Analyzers, etc.
  7. Ability to conduct basic RF measurements including RF power, frequencies, bandwidth, and modulation.
  8. Understanding of RF communication standards, modulation schemes, and protocols.
  9. Desirable: experience with programming test equipment using Python and/or C++.
  10. Experience with parametric modeling using CAD programs such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or CATIA.
  11. Basic mechanical analysis understanding, such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  12. Ability to identify mechanical failure modes to support Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Educational and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering with a focus on microwave and RF theory.
  • At least 7 years of professional experience in microwave and RF design.
Security and Citizenship

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
