Job summary

Leidos is seeking an RF Engineer III to design, analyze, and test RF links for the Army’s C-UAS Network Communication System (NCS). The role includes RF link design, propagation modeling, and field testing in an Agile environment.

You will work with systems, software, and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, reliable RF connectivity for M-LIDS and FS-LIDS in SHORAD missions, with potential telecommuting options.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in EE/RF/Communications Engineering with 8+ years RF experience.
• Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with RF link analysis and spectrum planning.
• Hands-on RF hardware design and integration.
• Familiarity with EW threats and anti-jam RF design.
• Experience with RF test tools like spectrum/network analyzers and signal generators.

Responsibilities

• Perform RF link budget analysis and propagation modeling.
• Design RF links and waveforms for secure tactical data transmission.
• Integrate RF hardware with secure network architecture.
• Mitigate interference and EW threats; design anti-jam approaches.
• Support RF testing, EMI/spectrum compliance, and field evaluations.
• Provide RF input to RMF/ATO security requirements and assessments.
• Present RF findings at TIMs and contribute to system docs.
