Job summary

Antcom, a Hexagon group company based in Torrance, CA, seeks an RF Engineer to design, build, test, and optimize RF circuits for airborne and ground vehicles. You will work under mentorship to develop low-noise amplifiers, RF switches, and related components, contributing to cradle-to-grave product development.

The role requires hands-on soldering, RF testing, and familiarity with RF simulation tools, with a focus on manufacturability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Understand RF fundamentals and electronics theory.
• Able to read electrical circuits and schematics.
• Hands-on soldering and PCB rework with precise skills.
• Experience testing RF circuits with network/spectrum analyzers.
• Familiar with RF measurements such as gain, return loss, and S-parameters.
• Know PCB layout concepts including grounding and routing.
• Exposure to RF simulation tools (HFSS, ADS, CST).
• Electrical engineering education or equivalent post-secondary training.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test and optimize RF components such as LNAs and RF switches.
• Test prototypes and perform PCB layout and routing.
• Use network/spectrum analyzers and other test equipment to evaluate RF circuits.
• Assist with test procedures, reports and manufacturing instructions.
• Assist with root-cause analysis and reliability improvements.
• Collaborate with RF/engineering and production teams during prototypes.
