Job summary

recruyt is seeking a Senior Antenna Engineer in San Francisco, on-site. The role is hands-on, owning antenna development end-to-end from architecture and EM simulation to prototyping, testing, certification, production and field performance.

You will design for ground-based and airborne hardware, work across sub-GHz to GNSS bands, and perform full-wave simulations using HFSS/CST/FEKO or equivalents. Collaboration across constrained hardware teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing antennas for production hardware.
• Strong fundamentals in electromagnetics, impedance matching, radiation, polarization, coupling and antenna efficiency.
• Hands-on experience with VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators and antenna chambers.
• Experience taking an antenna from concept through testing, certification and manufacturing.
• Experience with mechanically constrained products such as drones, robotics, IoT, mobile devices, vehicles or wearables.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop antennas for ground-based and airborne hardware.
• Work across sub‑GHz mesh (902-928 MHz), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, CBRS and GNSS.
• Run full‑wave EM simulations using HFSS, CST, FEKO or equivalent.
• Design antennas into highly constrained, multi‑radio hardware.
• Own antenna measurement and validation across bench, chamber and field environments.
• Solve RF performance, isolation, coexistence and integration challenges.
• Support antennas through certification and volume production.
