Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking an RF Engineer to lead Payload Analysis and run Test Cases for Payload Initialization. You will work with leaders and SMEs to manage Payload Risks and Opportunities and steer related Opportunities and Studies.

The role involves close collaboration with customers to ensure success of payload products and milestones. The position requires developing and analyzing technical requirements, allocating functions to subsystems, and applying MATLAB/Python for analysis.

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Top Secret and CI Poly.

Job description

As a RF Engineer within LM Space, you will lead Payload Analysis efforts and run Test Cases for Payload Initialization for an assigned payload. These roles will work closely with other leaders and Subject Matter Experts to manage Payload Risks and Opportunities as well as leading relevant Opportunities and Studies. The selected candidate will also work closely with customers to ensure the success of payload products and milestones.

Basic Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI
• Degree in electrical engineering or STEM related degree/certification

Basic Qualifications:

• Ability to develop and analyze technical requirements, and allocate functions down to satellite subsystems and/or components
• MATLAB or other coding experience

Security Clearance / Work Authorization:

• To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active Top Secret clearance with a CI Poly.

• Experience with defining external interfaces for antennas, active/passive RF components, receivers/transmitters, and digital processors
• Experience with certifying and selling off an RF payload or subsystem to the customer
• Proven ability to execute major milestone reviews (e.g. SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.)
• Experience with and/or application of AI/ML Data analysis Techniques
• Experience using and programming in Python
