Job summary

6AM City, LLC is seeking an Electronic Technician 1 for a 1-year contract in Buffalo, NY. The role operates on the 2nd shift (4:00 PM - 12:30 AM) onsite, with a 9/80 schedule and occasional Friday off.

You will test RF/microelectronics and digital cards, diagnose issues, and calibrate test equipment in a clean, modern facility. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, electronics training or experience, strong reading of procedures, and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Electronics knowledge gained through schooling, the military, or work experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow procedures and drawings.
• US citizenship.
• Experience with soldering and electronic assembly processes.
• Hands-on use of drawings, wire lists, source control drawings, or test procedures.
• Experience with microelectronics tuning under a microscope.
• Experience with test equipment.
• Experience working with engineering teams.
• Knowledge of defense electronics (preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with performance-based, metrics-driven culture.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Test and troubleshoot RF products including RF microelectronics, RF amplifiers, switches, and mixers.
• Test and troubleshoot digital circuit cards.
• Analyze equipment operating characteristics to isolate malfunctions in products and test systems.
• Diagnose non-conformances using schematics, wiring diagrams, source control drawings, and other test procedures.
• Perform RF tuning on microelectronics under a microscope.
• Perform maintenance or calibration on test equipment.
• Record and ensure validity of entries into data collection and test systems.
• Interpret and recommend corrective action to test findings.
• Document actions performed in applicable forms.
• Perform assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical subassemblies.
• Learn tasks under a microscope on small assemblies with precision.
• Record production data in travelers and shop floor systems.
• Collaborate with engineers to write/modify test procedures.
• Follow safety, ESD, FOD, and cleanliness guidelines.
• Complete in-house workmanship criteria training classes.
