Job summary

Actalent is seeking an RF Electronics Repair Technician to join our Farmingdale, NY team. You will troubleshoot, repair, test, calibrate, and verify RF and electronic equipment, collaborating with Production, Engineering, Test, and Field Service to support advanced products.

The role requires hands-on experience with test equipment, component-level repairs, and strong troubleshooting skills. A structured environment provides training and opportunities to contribute across multiple departments.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment.
• Experience performing component-level or board-level diagnostics and repairs.
• Proficiency using electronic test equipment, including: Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Other diagnostic test instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to read schematics, test procedures, and technical documentation.
• Comfortable using hand tools for electronic and mechanical repairs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot RF and electronic equipment to identify root causes of operational failures.
• Perform component-level repairs on printed circuit boards, amplifiers, multiplexing systems, and related electronic assemblies.
• Utilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other electronic test equipment to diagnose and validate repairs.
• Align, calibrate, and adjust equipment according to engineering specifications.
• Conduct functional and performance testing to ensure products meet documented standards.
• Review engineering change notices and incorporate updates into repair procedures.
• Maintain accurate repair, calibration, and test records within company databases.
• Support investigations and technical problem-solving efforts across Production, Engineering, Test, and Field Service departments.
• Perform mechanical adjustments and replacement of defective components as required.
