Job summary

Microwave Products Group in West Chester, OH is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies, ensuring adherence to engineering docs, work instructions, and customer specs.

You will interface with production and engineering, write nonconformance reports, verify rework, and participate in process improvements; onsite benefits and a comprehensive rewards package are included.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of IPC-A-610.
• Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read engineering prints.
• Good manual dexterity and time-management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
• ISO9001/AS9100 training preferred.
• Experience using basic hand tools and gauges.
• Ability to use a microscope.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electronic assemblies in-process and final, ensuring compliance with documents, work instructions and customer specs.
• Verify conformance and write nonconformance reports when discrepancies are found.
• Verify rework/repair has been completed per requirements and report inspections.
• Document inspections and move product in the system.
• Stamp/sign off on inspection steps and release product for shipment.
• Interface with production and engineering on issues and improvements.
• Assist production with quality/process explanations and instructions.
• Collaborate with quality and manufacturing engineering to improve manufacturability.
• Spot-audit production to ensure correct instructions are followed and provide feedback.
