RTX is seeking a RF Electrical Engineer in El Segundo, CA to join the Airborne Radar Electronics Receiver / Exciter Hardware Design Group onsite. You will design, analyze, test, troubleshoot microwave RF circuits, RFAs, MICs, and CCAs, and support production integration.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, has RF and microwave design coursework, and can engage with test technicians, factory facilitators, and reliability teams. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship is required.

What You Will Do

• Circuit analysis, circuit simulation, design, documentation, trade assessments for obsolescence resolution, troubleshooting and resolution of hardware performance issues and hardware integration, test and verification.
• Work as part of a team design Special Test Equipment (STE) Hardware and Software Testing Microwave RF circuits, Radio Frequency Assemblies (RFAs), Microwave Integrated Circuits (MICs), Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs), Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) & Production support.
• Work as part of a team to analyze hardware specifications to determine hardware requirements.
• Develop solutions to test issues and develop productivity and efficiency enhancements.
• Interact with test technicians, factory facilitators, operations managers, other engineers, Quality Assurance and Reliability personnel.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• Courses taken includes RF and Microwave Circuit Design.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Electrical Circuit Testing and Troubleshooting: Experience in testing and diagnosing issues in electrical circuits to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
• Laboratory Equipment Proficiency: Skilled in operating standard electrical engineering lab equipment, including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and Power Meters.
• Design and Simulation Software: Proficient in using industry-standard design tools such as Keysight ADS, Sonnet EM, Ansys HFSS, AutoCAD, and comparable platforms for circuit design and electromagnetic simulation.
• Programming and Software Development: Hands-on experience with software tools and programming languages, including C, C++, LabWindows CVI, and Matlab, for automation, data analysis, and engineering applications.

The salary range for this role is 62900 USD - 119700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
