Job summary

Fortress Solutions in Plano, Texas, seeks an experienced RF Design Engineer to lead end-to-end design, analysis, optimization, and validation of advanced wireless systems, with a focus on 4G LTE and 5G architectures for enterprise and carrier deployments.

You will apply RF design tools (IBwave/Atoll/Eino), perform heat mapping and propagation analysis, conduct CW and drive testing, and collaborate with network teams to ensure robust deployment, performance validation, and seamless handoff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications, or a related field.
• 5+ years of RF engineering experience in wireless telecom environments.
• Hands-on design and optimization of 4G LTE and 5G networks.
• IT and Telecommunications certifications are desired.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop RF solutions for 4G LTE and 5G networks including macro, small cell, and DAS.
• Perform RF link budget analysis to meet coverage and capacity requirements.
• Validate RF system architectures aligned with 5G NR standards.
• Produce detailed RF design documentation and performance forecasts.
• Support integration and validation across RAN and core interfaces.
