Mercor seeks an Electrical Engineering & RF/Circuit Design Expert to craft graduate-level problems using real scientific workflows. You will simulate, interpret results, and fine-tune experiments to challenge AI models.

Applicants should hold an MS/PhD in a relevant field, be proficient in Python, and have hands-on experience with scikit-rf or ngspice, operating in Linux environments. This is a part-time, research-design role based in New York.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level training in a STEM field (MS/PhD or equivalent research experience).
• Proven proficiency with at least one listed scientific software library, shown via publications, open-source work, or professional projects.
• Strong Python skills for writing problem setups, oracle functions, and validators.
• Comfortable in Linux/terminal environments and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design graduate-level problems using real scientific workflows and RF/circuit design concepts.
• Run simulations and interpret results with specialized software (scikit-rf, ngspice).
• Create and refine tests against AI models to hit target difficulty.
• Iterate problem designs based on feedback and performance data.
