Job summary

NuWaves RF Solutions in Middletown, OH seeks a Cable and Wire Harness Assembler to build mission-critical RF assemblies and custom cable harnesses for defense, aerospace, and commercial RF systems.

You will work with precision hand tools, semi-automated equipment, and testing instruments to assemble and inspect wiring assemblies in line with IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 standards and AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality practices.

Qualifications

• IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification preferred (IPC J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610 is a plus).
• Ability to read and interpret wire run lists, schematics, and BOM.
• Experience with precision wire harness assembly and mil-spec connectors.
• Familiarity with RF coax termination.
• Experience with testing equipment (DMM, cable testers).
• Knowledge of ESD control, FOD prevention, and aerospace quality practices.
• Color vision for high-density connector work.

Responsibilities

• Assemble harnesses and sub-assemblies per drawings and wiring schematics.
• Prepare and terminate RF/microwave coax cables with multiple connectors.
• Perform high-reliability soldering and precision crimping per IPC/WHMA guidelines.
• Apply heat-shrink, EMI/RFI shielding, and protective jacketing.
• Inspect parts against IPC-A-620 criteria for Class 2/3.
• Conduct electrical tests and document results with test fixtures.
• Maintain traceability data and an orderly ESD-safe workstation.
