RTX is seeking an Avionics Technician to perform testing, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics equipment in an onsite Federal Way, WA facility. You will set up precision test equipment, analyze circuitry, and ensure compliance with FAA/industry standards while supporting global aerospace operations.

The position requires an AA/AS degree with several years of hands‑on experience, plus familiarity with RF systems and electronics maintenance.

Formación

• Typically requires AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in troubleshooting electronics equipment.
• Experience in radiofrequency systems and components.
• Electronics maintenance industry experience or education required.

Responsabilidades

• Perform testing, troubleshooting, repair, and modification of moderate to complex avionics equipment.
• Set up and operate precision test equipment for alignment, troubleshooting, and testing of electrical systems.
• Utilize standard and custom-made test equipment, including oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and automated test systems.
• Analyze circuitry, physically inspect wiring, and identify malfunction sources during testing of components, equipment, or systems.
• Conduct functional tests to verify operation and calibration of test stations, components, and systems.
• Perform electrical and mechanical repair operations, including disassembly, assembly, and installation of modifications as outlined in service bulletins or authorized documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Collins Aerospace workmanship and quality standards.
