Job summary

Deployed Global Solutions, LLC is seeking an RF Attenuation Engineer to design, install, test and optimize RF systems for SCIFs and EMI/RFI shielded environments. The role includes providing technical guidance on RF attenuation projects and supporting bids and proposals.

The position is full-time and salaried, with a relocation incentive of $5,000 to Rome, NY, contingent on one year of employment. Travel within CONUS/OCONUS is expected, and candidate must be able to obtain a federal security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience working in a construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analyses and simulations of RF systems, ensuring optimal performance across the frequency spectrum.
• Perform RF measurements and testing of prototypes, production units and installed systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to RF performance.
• Determine and develop RF testing specifications, methods, and procedures from regulations, blueprints, drawings, and diagrams.
• Set up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, assemblies and systems.
• Analyze defective items to determine root cause of failure.
• Review EMI/RFI shielding drawings to identify deficiencies and propose corrections.
• Assist in developing detailed construction and manufacturing documentation.
• Install EMI/RFI shielded enclosures and related systems at customer sites.
