Job summary

Advantage Technical seeks an experienced Electrical Mechanical Technician to perform hands-on building, wiring, and testing of RF systems for commercial, industrial, and defense applications. The role emphasizes mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, soldering, and cable harness work with attention to quality and safety.

You will read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams, assemble components, and test with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and VNAs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in electromechanical assembly or electronics manufacturing.
• At least 2 years of hands-on RF testing experience.
• Experience with electrical wiring, soldering, and cable assembly.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience using hand tools, precision tools, and electronic testing equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build mechanical and electrical components.
• Perform electrical wiring, soldering, and cable harness assembly.
• Install connectors and integrate electrical components.
• Read and follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
• Test antenna and RF products to ensure they function properly.
• Use electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and Vector Network Analyzers (VNA).
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
• Work with engineers and manufacturing team members on product builds and prototypes.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
