Job summary

Long Wave Inc. in Oklahoma City seeks an early- to mid-career RF Analysis Engineer to own simulation, analysis, and signal processing for DoD programs, developing RF subsystems, managing requirements, tests, and documenting results.

Responsibilities include signal processing design, RF system architecture input, documentation, troubleshooting, and both lab and field testing. Travel up to 20% and on-site in OKC; US citizenship required; DoD clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• US Citizenship and eligibility for a DoD Clearance is required.
• Experience with RF systems including design, analysis, production, or test.
• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce formal test documentation and reports.

• Signal Processing Design and Development: lead the analysis and implementation of signal processing algorithms and models.
• RF System Architecture: provide input to RF system architecture and trade studies.
• Technical Documentation: generate and maintain documentation, specifications, and test artifacts.
• Troubleshooting: analyze differences between simulated and measured performance.
• Testing: perform lab and field testing of designed components.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Primary Function:

Long Wave Inc. is seeking an early- or mid-career RF Analysis Engineer to take ownership of simulation, analysis, and signal processing for Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This role is suited for engineers with several years of experience or advanced degree(s) who can develop RF subsystems, manage requirements, perform tests, and document the results.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Signal ProcessingDesignand Development:Lead theanalysis and implementation ofsignal processingalgorithms and models.

1. RF System Architecture:Providemajor inputsto RF system architecture and shape the future ofRF productsat Long Wave Inc.Provide technicalinputsin system architecture and integration.Supportkey design decisions, conduct trade studies, and ensure solutions meet performance and safety standards.

1. Technical Documentation:Generate and maintain detailed technical documentation, including specifications, interface definitions, and test artifacts, for internal and customer use.

1. Troubleshooting:Performtroubleshootingto analyze the differences between simulated and measured performance and behavior.

1. Testing:Performlab and fieldtestingof designed components.Helpdemonstrate products and view each test as an opportunity to find new improvements.

1. Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Conditions:

Employeewill be working within an office environment.Employeemay be expected to travel on occasion(up to 20%)to locations where specific PPE or attire is necessary.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

• B.Sin Engineering,Computer Science, orrelated field.

• US Citizenship and eligibility for a DoD Clearance is required.

• Experience with RF Systems including design, analysis, production, or test.

• Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce formal test documentation and reports.

Preferred Skills:

• B.S., M.S., and/or Ph.D. in Electrical or Computer Engineering

• RFsystemdesignexperience

• Experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Techniques

• Experience withSoftware Defined Radio (SDR)

• MATLAB, Python, orC++

• Experience with communicationsmodulationtechniques

• Experienceusing RF test equipment such as VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and power meters

• This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
