Job summary

Resource Label Group, LLC (RLG) is seeking a production associate to operate and support labeling and packaging lines in our Sandy, Utah facility. The role involves handling finished rolls, maintaining safety standards, and keeping work areas clean and organized.

The candidate will follow production tickets, perform quality checks, and assist in various duties across the plant. Ideal applicants are reliable, self-motivated, and able to communicate well with teammates and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate reliability through attendance, punctuality and focus.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Must cooperate and communicate well with co-workers and supervisors.
• Must have good math skills.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to repeatedly bend or squat to pick up finished rolls from skids and place onto unwind machines.
• Must raise arms to remove finished rolls from rewind mandrels; weights 4–25 lbs.
• Must raise arms and use scissors to cut finished rolls and apply tape.
• Stand for long periods and operate equipment; may stand for up to three hours in one area.
• Carry finished rolls and place in boxes or on skids; up to 50 reps.
• Fold and tape together boxes as needed; up to 25 times per shift.
• Operate forklift or pallet jack to move skids (up to 200 lbs); up to 10 times.
• Always ask for help when lifting heavy items beyond capability.
• Read production instructions; notify supervisor of discrepancies.
• Locate quality control sheets and place samples for reference during rewinding and inspection.
• Perform make-ready on rewind machines and adjust counters.
• Complete final checklists as required.
• Understand over/under run limitations.
• Run jobs while monitoring quality and detect defects.
• Strive for maximum run quality while minimizing waste.
• Make perfect splices to avoid scrap of expensive material.
• Consult supervisor if unsure about quality decisions.
• Create core labels with PO and part numbers.
• Maintain safety knowledge and adhere to SDS guidelines.
• Follow ISO procedures and maintenance schedules.
• Assist in other production areas as workload allows.
• Perform other duties as requested.
