Job summary

Actalent in Portland, OR is seeking an Electrical Drafter to create and modify drawings and models using REVIT software. The role involves producing detailed electrical drawings and collaborating with the design team in a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days from home) with locations across Portland, Boise, ID and Phoenix, AZ.

You will apply 3D modeling tools (Revit, BIM, AutoCAD, NavisWorks) and translate verbal directions into shop drawings, reading 2D plans, and supporting coordination

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED and drafting courses required; one to two years of technical training preferred.
• Working experience in electrical drafting or MEP preferred using Revit.
• General working knowledge of construction software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
• Skills above and beyond would include creating simple parametric families, utilizing shared parameters, creating schedules, and creating complex geometry.
• Prepare copies and help make sets of documents for other parties.
• Download drawings and information from the Web, SharePoint, or project websites (FTP, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine CAD assignments per drafting standards.
• Create quick actions to assist drawing creation.
• Use math to prepare drawings.
• Develop proficiency in system operation and software options.
• Review work orders to determine critical dimensions.
• Calculate figures to resize designs for production.
