Job summary

Faith Technologies Incorporated, based in Alabama, seeks a Modular Product Developer to translate design concepts into accurate digital models and documentation. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product development, engineering design, BIM/VDC, modular construction, manufacturing, electrical or mechanical construction, or a related technical environment.
• Education: Vocational/Technical Certificate or Associate/Bachelor’s Degree in engineering drafting or related field.
• Travel required: 10-50%.

Responsibilities

• Execute and be directly accountable for assigned product development activities under Product Architects, ensuring work is complete, on schedule, and aligned with requirements.
• Develop virtual prototypes, concepts, component designs, and technical solutions supporting early concept development and rapid design iteration.
• Translate concept requirements into accurate digital models and drawings.
• Maintain master Revit models, reusable BIM content, families, templates, and configuration content.
• Produce 2D concept drawings, layouts, design-intent documentation, submittal packages, and presentation-ready documentation.
• Support client, vendor, site, permit, and ETO product submittal packages through approval.
• Develop and maintain CDDs, iBODs, design narratives, and other product-definition deliverables; manage documentation.
• Assist in early BOMs and data to support procurement.
• Review specifications and submittals to identify gaps and inform models and documentation.
• Coordinate with SMEs and cross-functional teams to incorporate requirements and design changes.
• Ensure models and drawings communicate approved design intent and are suitable for downstream Detailed Design.
• Support establishment of the engineering baseline for production-level models and manufacturing documentation.
• Incorporate design information from construction documents to ensure modular products fit the overall site design.
• Collaborate with vendors to obtain and validate product data and technical documentation.
• Conduct research on products, components, and technologies to inform decisions.
• Participate in design reviews and workshops presenting concepts and recommendations.
• Manage schedules for development activities using planning tools.
• Organize files and version control per company standards.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost and improve standardization and manufacturability.
• Capture lessons learned from across the project lifecycle into updated content.
• Collaborate with peers to improve product design and development practices.
• Complete development activities accurately, completely, and on schedule.
