Job summary

Gresham Smith in Nashville is seeking a Revit Designer for its Water & Environment market. You will develop mechanical process 3D models in Revit for water/wastewater facilities and coordinate with disciplines in a fast-paced design environment.

The role requires a strong background in Revit 2024+, attention to constructability, and collaboration with clients and consultants to deliver high-quality drawings and design documents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (as stated in the role).
• 10 years of experience as a CAD technician, developing design documents in Revit for mechanical projects, and 3D facilities development especially water/wastewater facilities.
• Familiarity with water/wastewater design components such as pumps, valves, piping, and treatment equipment.
• Extremely proficient in Revit version 2024 or higher.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, ProjectWise, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, and Bluebeam is a bonus.
• Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use Revit to develop mechanical process 3D models of water/wastewater facilities with constructability in mind.
• Execute mechanical process design tasks using 3D surfaces with minimal oversight.
• Set up and develop design sheets, including plans, profiles, and details, per drawing standards.
• Communicate with design team, clients, and external consultants to resolve design challenges and produce high-quality deliverables.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

About the Role

As a Revit Designer, you will:

• Use Revit to develop mechanical process 3D models of water/wastewater facilities with consideration for constructability and design standards with minimal oversight.
• Use Revit to execute mechanical process design tasks using 3D surfaces with minimal oversight.
• Set up and develop design sheets, including plans, profiles, and details, in accordance with applicable drawing standards and templates.
• Communicate proactively with the design team, clients, and external consultants to resolve design challenges and technical questions, clarify work product expectations and standards, and produce consistent, high-quality deliverables as a team.
• Work with the design team to resolve comments on design documents from the project team and the client.
• Ability to coordinate mechanical process design in Revit with other disciplines working in the same 3D model including structural, architectural, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and instrumentation and control.
