Job summary

Wilson Elser is seeking a Revenue Team Analyst for its Madison, NJ office. This in-office, part-time role (3 days/21 hours per week) supports the revenue team with accounts receivable tasks, analyzes invoice stages, and prepares clear communications on outstanding balances.

Ideal candidates include recent graduates or students with hands-on AR experience, ready to grow in a fast-paced national law firm while collaborating across offices and client contacts.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma OR GED equivalent.
  • Experience in law firms or professional services is a plus.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel with familiarity of functions such as VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and conditional formatting.

Responsibilities

  • Track client statuses and analyze invoice stages for accounts receivable.
  • Analyze payments from electronically submitted invoices and participate in appeal/write-off processes.
  • Review and reconcile payment applications using historical data.
  • Produce written communications that clearly convey issues around outstanding balances.
  • Record all activities in the assigned database.
  • Communicate professionally with regional offices, associates, partners, senior management, and client contacts.
  • Inform management on progress and significant developments in primary responsibilities.
  • Independently produce quality work products.

This is an in-office, part time position (3 days/21 hours per week).

The Position

This is an excellent opportunity for recent college graduates or someone still in college looking to take on a fast-paced role in a national law firm, as well as more experienced candidates with hands‑on A/R experience looking to continue to develop their skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Revenue Team by tracking client statuses, analyzing various invoice stages, and summarizing current Client’s accounts receivables.
  • Analyze payments received from electronically submitted invoices and participate in appeal and write‑off processes.
  • Review and reconcile payment applications by analyzing historical information.
  • Produce written documents (e.g. e‑mails, letters, memos, etc.) that clearly convey simple and complex issues surrounding outstanding balances.
  • Record all activities within the assigned database.
  • Conduct oneself in a professionally confident, courteous manner while communicating with the Regional Offices, Associates, Partners, Senior Management, and Client Contacts.
  • Regularly inform management on all progress and significant developments in the performance of primary responsibilities.
  • Independently produce quality work products.
Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma OR GED Equivalent.

  • Experience in law firms or professional services is a plus, especially with an understanding of law firm revenue cycle and related processes.

  • Strong command of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel. Candidates must have experience using the following functions in Excel:

    • creating a basic worksheet
    • data entry and data formatting
    • performing calculations in an Excel worksheet by using basic formulas such as SUM
    • identifying, sorting, and filtering data
    • modifying the appearance of a worksheet including adjusting the layout, margins, font size, and print size.
    • VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting
  • Proven ability to prioritize and organize assigned tasks in a dynamic, high‑volume environment while maintaining productivity.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, combined with a clear ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external clients. Additionally, ability to read cursive.

  • Committed to delivering top‑tier service, both to colleagues and external clients.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify issues, think critically, and recommend effective solutions

A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered part‑time and therefore is not benefits eligible.

Salary Range:

$20—$20 USD
