Build dashboards for real-time financial reporting, denial trends, and reimbursement performance across payer types.
Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to ensure appropriate billing for all service lines (911, IFT, CCT, event standby, etc.).
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and evaluate billing department staff and/or external billing vendors with clear KPIs and accountability structures.
Facilitate regular training and policy updates to ensure staff competency in changing regulatory or payer environments.
Partner with other executives to ensure financial decisions support broader organizational strategy and patient access.

Evaluate and optimize billing and revenue systems, including ePCR integrations, clearinghouses, and reporting tools.
Lead the transition to or implementation of new RCM platforms if needed, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Leverage automation and data analytics to reduce billing lag and AR aging.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of progressive leadership in healthcare revenue cycle operations; at least 4 years specific to EMS, ambulance, or transport services.
Deep understanding of HCPCS ambulance billing codes (A0425–A0434), medical necessity criteria, and PCR compliance standards.
