Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital in the United States is seeking a Revenue Integrity/Patient Accounts specialist to resolve charging discrepancies and support audits. You will analyze Cerner to Meditech rejections, track trends, and generate management reports while assisting with large-scale account corrections.

The role involves coordinating appeals, collaborating with team members, and ensuring accurate documentation for audits and denials. Dark weekday shift with benefit offerings.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate tact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions and maintain composure in confrontational situations.
• Requires strong oral and written communication skills, analytical, problem resolution skills, and customer service skills.
• Maintains current knowledge of regulatory requirements as they relate to industry and payer regulations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Review charge rejections from Cerner to Meditech daily.
• Identify trends to report to Revenue Integrity Coordinator and Management.
• Resolve accounts that did not interface to Meditech.
• Review charges on incomplete or miscellaneous accounts in Meditech.
• Resolve ER accounts with missing E&M levels and observation hourly charges.
• Identify Room and Board discrepancies and coordinate actions.
• Enter miscellaneous charges and forward correspondence to responsible party.
• Coordinate submission of appeals for audit disputes with team members.
