Job summary

Adventist HealthCare is seeking an experienced Coding Auditor for its Revenue Integrity department. You will lead discussions, analyze billing edits, manage work queues, and perform root-cause analyses to improve charge capture and documentation. The role requires hospital coding expertise and strong communication with clinicians and vendors.

Hybrid work options and day shifts are available. The ideal candidate holds CCS/CCS-P/CPC certification, with RHIA/RHIT preferred, and a solid background

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hospital coding experience
• CCS/CCS-P/CPC certification
• RHIA or RHIT preferred
• High School diploma or GED
• Proficient with ICD-10, CPT, E/M codes and modifiers
• Knowledge of Coding Clinic and CPT Assistant

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions and educational sessions with Revenue Integrity stakeholders.
• Analyze and resolve billing edits and bill holds.
• Manage work queues and perform reviews with corrective actions.
• Maintain queues to align with department goals.
• Escalate barriers to the manager with clear documentation.
• Conduct EHR analyses related to charge capture delays and reconciliation.
• Perform root cause analyses on trends and present findings to leadership.
• Assess POA indicators at AHC facilities.
• Communicate with clinicians and practices professionally.
• Support leadership and cross-entity collaboration on coding impact.
