Job summary

SCP Health is seeking a Reimbursement Variance Auditor to perform retrospective reviews of payments from commercial/governmental plans, identifying underpayments and optimizing cash flow in line with regulations and contracts.

You will liaise across Revenue Cycle, A/R, and payers, supporting appeals, and ensuring accurate documentation, with focus on large volumes and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in managed care, medical billing, and/or healthcare reimbursement.
• Experience with payer contracts or reimbursement processes is preferred.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and resolve appeals and grievances with payers.
• Analyze reimbursement data for accuracy of payments and contract terms.
• Coordinate with payer plans and stakeholders to resolve underpayments and improve processes.
