What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain and coordinate the Charge Description Master (CDM) for facilities, including data entry and maintenance activities
- Assist with reports and tasks directly related to the chargemaster as assigned
- Perform reconciliation of data input to ensure accuracy of the CDM
- Provide training and mentoring to new and established staff as needed
- Collaborate with leaders/team on special projects related to pricing, conversions, and new CDM tools
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School graduate or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Entry-level experience preferred, with applicable clinical or professional certifications highly desirable
- Working knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and general healthcare billing
- Ability to create reports, utilize audit techniques, and present spreadsheets effectively
- Proficiency in verbal and written communications to convey technical information clearly
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Applicable clinical or professional certifications such as LVN, RN, RT, MT, RPH, COC, CPC, CCS
- Experience in healthcare billing or related fields
- Familiarity with medical terminology and health care nomenclature
- Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
- Skills in using office equipment and automated systems/applications, particularly Excel
