The role you will contribute

The Revenue Integrity Analyst is responsible for supporting the Revenue Integrity team to ensure optimal reimbursement of entitled revenue. This position uses reporting tools, data extraction, and analysis to understand revenue and compliance risks and opportunities. Additionally, this role monitors Revenue Integrity specific workqueues, including Revenue Guardian checks, charge reviews, and charge router workqueues. In addition, this position supports troubleshooting needs and disseminates best practices across service line teams. Ensures active communication and collaboration with the Revenue Integrity Specialist to achieve a world-class revenue cycle.

  • Routes and escalates issues or questions to the specific Revenue Integrity team responsible for the area under review.
  • Analyzes data and generates reports to identify revenue and compliance risks and opportunities.
  • Monitors Revenue Integrity specific workqueues, including Revenue Guardian checks, charge reviews, and charge router workqueues.
  • Supports troubleshooting needs and disseminates best practices across service line teams.
  • Collaborates with the Revenue Integrity Specialist to achieve optimal reimbursement and a world-class revenue cycle.
  • Maintains reports and dashboards to support department and service line goals and objectives.
  • Works with Division Revenue Integrity Specialists and CDM team to optimize work queue logic.
  • Coordinates with AIT/Health Informatics for additional educational material for clinical end-users.
  • Analyzes work queue volume details around charge assignments to customize knowledge sharing for the Revenue Integrity team.
  • Identifies focused areas for account reviews and risk assignments.
  • Manages exception-based Revenue Integrity-owned Epic workqueues, such as Revenue Guardian, Charge Review, and Charge Router.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed
  • Bachelor’s in Business, Accounting, Finance, Health Administration, or another related field with 2+ years of experience as an analyst in hospital decision support, business intelligence applications.
  • OR in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, 5 or more years of applicable experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree with 1 year of experience
  • HFMA’s Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) or
  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR); or
  • NAHRI’s Certification in Healthcare Revenue Integrity (CHRI)
