Salary Range: $70,800.00 - $80,300.00

*As required under NYC Human Rights Law Int 1208-2018 - Salary range for this role when Hired for NYC Offices
Position Summary

Under guidance, oversees the daily operations of the professional billing activities within the comprehensive cashiering services of the payment posting unit.


Job Responsibilities
  • Analyzes transaction activity to assess overall performance and staff productivity. Designs and implements strategies to improve overall performance.
  • Ensures all Lockboxes, Electronic Data Interfaces (EDI) and other posted receipts are reconciled against validated system output sources.
  • Ensures adherence to cash and audit control procedures.
  • Identifies and resolves issues related to the practice management system and remit files.
  • Ensures all credits and suspense account entries are posted correctly and all back up documentation is forwarded in a timely manner.
  • May develop, maintain and/or disseminate departmental or functional specific policies and procedures. May also be responsible for maintaining a departmental standard operating procedures (SOP) manual if available.
  • Attends workshops, seminars and/or conferences to keep abreast of standards and best practices within the field. Disseminates information to colleagues and/or staff as appropriate.
  • Establishes operational benchmarks, metrics and productivity standards to streamline workflows and and identify improvement opportunities.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
Experience
Approximately 5 years of experience in a multi-specialty physician practice, preferably in a large academic medical center of physician organization Approximately 2 years of supervisory experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
