Reporting to the Revenue Cycle Lead, the Payment Posting - Revenue Cycle Specialist will assist with accurate payment posting, ensuring financial accuracy and reducing discrepancies. Responsibilities include mentoring team members, implementing process improvements, and managing refunds and adjustments. You will also monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and work to minimize manual adjustments, contributing to overall efficiency and improved cash flow management within the revenue cycle operations. This is a full-time position that is fully remote.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Accurate Payment Posting: Ensure all payments are posted with high accuracy, maintaining financial integrity and minimizing discrepancies.
  • Monthly Payment Volume Management: Consistently post a high volume of payments each month, ensuring that productivity targets are met or exceeded.
  • Reconciliation Consistency: Perform monthly reconciliations of all posted payments to ensure they are accurate and fully accounted for, reducing the risk of financial discrepancies.
  • Proactive Refund and Adjustment Management: Efficiently identify and process refunds and adjustments to prevent aged credit balance invoices, ensuring timely financial corrections.
  • KPI Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly track and report on the achievement of KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to meet performance targets.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with your peers, sharing knowledge and best practices to contribute to the overall success of the team.

  • Error Rate Reduction: Actively work to reduce the error rate in payment postings by adhering to best practices and implementing quality checks.
  • Manual Adjustment Minimization: Strive to minimize the need for manual payment adjustments by improving the accuracy of initial postings and using available tools effectively.
  • Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) Utilization: Increase the use of ERA in payment posting processes to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.
  • Proactive Problem Solving: Take initiative in identifying issues within the payment posting process and develop innovative solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Commitment to Training and Development: Actively engage in continuous learning opportunities, such as Recharge Hours, Electives, and LinkedIn Learning, to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in revenue cycle management.
  • Adaptability and Initiative: Be adaptable to changes in processes and KPIs, and take initiative to meet evolving departmental goals.
  • Accountability: Consistently meet or exceed the updated KPIs, demonstrating a strong commitment to achieving the department’s performance targets.
  • Effective Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution.
  • Focus on Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in and contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance overall department efficiency and accuracy.
What We Expect From You
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in the healthcare field in a similar position.
  • Familiarity and experience working in the behavioral health field.
  • Comfortable in amorphous environments with constantly evolving job responsibilities.
  • Tech-savvy with a strong ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms efficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage context switching effectively.

The target base salary range for this position is $32.05 - $39.62, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
