Job summary

Joint Relief Institute is seeking a Revenue Cycle Operations Director to build, optimize, and scale our financial operating systems in the Chicagoland area. This role focuses on removing bottlenecks, reducing denials, and accelerating cash flow through data-driven process improvements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years leading healthcare revenue cycle operations, with deep knowledge of authorizations, eligibility, billing workflows, and AR management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading healthcare revenue cycle operations.
• Deep understanding of: authorizations, eligibility verification, billing workflows, denials management, appeals, AR follow-up, collections.
• Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Experience managing vendors and/or offshore teams.
• Proven history improving revenue cycle performance.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational performance of the entire revenue cycle.
• Identify problems, build processes, create accountability, improve cash collections, reduce denials, and support growth.
• Review KPIs, analyze payer trends, audit processes, and build reporting.
• Drive accountability and lead performance improvement initiatives.
• Move between strategy discussions and detailed claim-level analysis as needed.
