Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in hospital or physician revenue cycle, denials management, or related healthcare finance function.
• Experience with hospital/professional claims, denials, corrections, and appeals.
• Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/commercial payer denial processes and timelines.
• Hands-on Epic experience for denial management and reporting.
• Proficiency with Excel (sorting, filtering, formulas, pivots).
• Strong written communication and ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review and resolve denials, underpayments, and appeal opportunities in Epic.
• Research root causes using documentation, coding, and payer policies.
• Prepare and track corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals within deadlines.
• Document denial activity and outcomes in Epic and other systems.
• Monitor denial volumes, dollars, and trends; report findings to leadership.
• Collaborate with departments to develop corrective-action plans.
• Participate in workflow design and post-implementation reviews related to revenue-cycle changes.
