Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking a clerical support member for the BSD UCP Revenue Cycle - Patient Financial Services. The role focuses on scanning and linking documents to patient accounts, mail handling, answering phones, and providing receptionist support when needed.

Responsibilities include processing appeals in Epic Workqueues, notating accounts, and distributing documents to AR and Auditing teams. On-site position with standard hours in Burr Ridge, IL.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; required.
• Experience with physician billing is preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems and Epic is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Faxing and mailing appeals/redeterminations via Epic Workqueues.
• Notating accounts in Epic as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Accounts Receivables Managers.
• Scan documents for Cash Posting – EOBs, refund requests.
• Accounts Receivable - appeals or correspondence letters.
• Self-Pay - attorney request faxes and patient documentation.
• Registration – Provider Enrollment, patient demographic/insurance updates and COB information.
